The role
As a Commercial Support Advisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your commercial acumen, contribute to high-value defence programmes, and grow your career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Day-to-day, you’ll provide day-to-day commercial management support across key contracts with the Ministry of Defence, including the Future Maritime Support Programme (FMSP). Working closely with the Commercial Manager and Head of Commercial, you’ll help ensure contract performance, compliance, and change management processes run smoothly.
1. Assisting the Commercial Manager with contract management tasks and reporting requirements.
2. Supporting the change management process, including drafting and negotiating contract changes.
3. Managing relationships with clients to ensure positive engagement and service delivery.
4. Providing general commercial and administrative support, including maintaining departmental databases.
5. Ensuring compliance with internal processes and commercial governance.
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Commercial Support Advisor
6. Strong MS Excel skills.
7. Experience working in large organizations.
8. Background in contracts and administration.
9. Understanding of general business procurement processes.
10. Experience with Ministry of Defense contracts (beneficial but not essential).
