Our customer, a global professional services company, is looking for an Investigations Lead to conduct and oversee corporate compliance investigations arising from alleged misconduct raised through the client's various reporting channels. This is a 7-8 months' contract role.
Responsibilities include:
1. Work with senior company leadership to assess and address significant legal risks associated with such investigations.
2. Manage teams of investigative personnel assembled to address reported allegations.
3. Manage notification, recording, and reporting processes related to investigations.
4. Oversee internal and external resources to conduct investigations into significant and complex allegations of misconduct related to financial and regulatory matters, including defining scope, notifying personnel, conducting interviews, and compiling reports.
5. Recommend and implement proper remedial measures.
6. Ensure effective and timely review, assignment, and investigation of matters in consultation with the Director of Corporate Investigations.
7. Develop processes for identifying and reporting trends, and provide updates on investigation data.
8. Make strategic decisions affecting the Corporate Investigations group.
9. Execute global strategy set by the Global Director of Corporate Investigations.
10. Provide legal advice concerning risk and remedial measures to senior leadership.
11. Serve as liaison with Compliance Program leads and work directly with law enforcement and regulatory agencies.
12. Oversee, train, and support investigative personnel.
13. Stay updated on legal developments affecting investigations and compliance standards.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 7 years’ experience conducting and supervising investigations, including financial fraud and regulatory investigations.
* Experience drafting legal reports and advising on compliance risks.
* Experience with litigation related to investigations or employment matters.
