About the role
We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Reception Teacher and Early Years Lead to take on a pivotal role within our vibrant and inclusive school community. This is a unique opportunity to combine outstanding classroom practice with strategic leadership, guiding the development of our entire Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Responsibilities
* Lead and teach a Reception class, ensuring children develop strong foundations for learning.
* Take overall responsibility for the nursery provision, ensuring high‑quality care, learning, and development across both settings.
* Provide strategic leadership across the EYFS, driving consistency, quality, and high expectations.
* Lead, support, and develop the Early Years team to deliver outstanding provision.
* Shape and implement a rich, ambitious Early Years curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
* Ensure smooth transitions between nursery and Reception, creating continuity in children’s learning journeys.
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience in early years education.
* Extensive experience in Early Years education.
* Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire staff.
* A clear vision for high‑quality EYFS and nursery provision.
* Excellent understanding of child development in the early years.
* A nurturing, calm, and highly reflective approach to teaching.
* The ability to balance outstanding classroom practice with strategic leadership responsibility.
