Case Administrator - NPS Bury St Edmunds Temporary Role (initially until December 2026, with potential to extend) £12.71 per hour | Weekly Pay 37 hours per week | Monday-Friday | 9:00am-5:00pm We are recruiting on behalf of our public sector client, NPS Bury St Edmunds, for a Case Administrator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within the Probation Service, supporting key administrative functions that contribute to reducing reoffending and protecting the public. The Role As a Case Administrator, you will provide essential administrative support to offender management teams, ensuring accurate record-keeping and effective day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities Maintaining accurate records for people on probation and victims using internal databases Preparing and managing case files and documentation Handling incoming communications via telephone, email, and post Supporting appointments, referrals, and sentence plan administration Providing reception and general administrative support as required Assisting with meetings, including organising and taking notes Key Skills & Experience We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate: Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and basic Excel Experience using databases and maintaining accurate records Good keyboard skills and attention to detail Basic numerical ability Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work on your own initiative and manage workload effectively Behaviours Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate: Delivering at Pace Making Effective Decisions Working Together Changing and Improving Managing a Quality Service Additional Information Parking: Small free staff car park (first come, first served) and on-street parking nearby Facilities: On-site staff room available This role requires professionalism, resilience, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals, including those who may be in challenging circumstances.
