Family Solicitor | NQ–4 PQE
Location: Inverness | Hybrid Working Available
A highly regarded legal team in the Highlands is looking to appoint a Family Solicitor (NQ–4 PQE) to join its expanding practice in Inverness. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a broad mix of family law matters, working closely with experienced colleagues while building your own profile within a supportive and forward‑thinking environment.
You’ll work with a diverse client base, handling everything from high‑value financial cases to sensitive family matters, with a real focus on providing practical, clear and empathetic advice.

The role
You’ll advise clients across a full spectrum of family law matters, including:
* Financial provision on separation and divorce
* Child‑related matters such as residence, contact and relocation
* More complex cases including cross‑border disputes, adoption and surrogacy
* Supporting cases through the Sheriff Court process
* Preparing case documentation, evidence and witness statements
* Attending client meetings and court hearings
* Contributing to client updates, legal insights and team initiatives
About you
This role would suit a Family Solicitor who:
* Has NQ–4 years’ PQE in family law
* Enjoys working directly with clients and providing practical guidance
* Is organised and able to manage competing deadlines
* Communicates clearly and professionally
* Works well as part of a close‑knit and collaborative team
* Is keen to continue developing technical knowledge and expertise
