We need a strong educator with a Drama and Performing Arts background that is ready to lead the Drama team in a Secondary School in Bristol.
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that the Performing Arts Teaching Team feels supported and has all the resources necessary for their classes in KS3 and KS4. You will also be leading Drama lessons to students in KS3 and KS4 therefore preparing students for their GCSE exams. Planning and marking will be essential in this role therefore detailed knowledge of the UK curriculum is required. You will be overseeing the curriculum and be the lead decision maker on Drama teaching and exam organising.
Teaching students a range of topics from stage presence, physical movement, character interpretation will help them develop their acting skills and other topics such as stage design, costume design, lighting and sound will give them a deeper understanding of how theatre functions and how they can contribute to the world of performing arts.
A massive part of theatre and this role will be to instil the values of team work, confidence and analytical skills into your students.
