Post Title: Health Visitor Band 7 / Trainee Health Visitor
Location: Nairn Town and County Hospital
Hours: 37 Hours Per Week
Duration: Permanent
Salary: Band 7 £50,861 - £59,159 p.a.
Trainees: £44,369 p.a. (75% of the top rate at Band 7, rising up the Annex 21 trainee scale until qualification)
Interviews will be held on 7th and 8th August in Inverness.
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: The main role for the Health Visitor (HV) is to be the designated named HV for all children within their caseload from antenatal to school entry age, excluding the unborn child. This involves initiating the child's planning process. The HV will monitor the child's wellbeing and assess if a need is identified, working in partnership with the child's family and involved agencies to produce and monitor a child's plan.
The postholder is responsible and accountable for maintaining clinical, staff, and information governance.

Requirements
Registered nurse or midwife at degree level or equivalent.
Post-registration qualification in Health Visiting/Public Health Nursing and registration on Part 3 of the NMC register.
Educated to Masters level in a relevant nursing area, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge through NES modules on Assessment, Leadership, and Critical Thinking.
