Main duties of the job
Responsible forproviding expert pharmaceutical advice, including specialist antimicrobialadvice across all clinical areas of the Trust to prescribers, clinicians,nursing staff and pharmacy staff and patients to deliver high qualitypharmaceutical care and improve patient safety.
Work in conjunctionwith the Consultant Microbiologists and infection control team to developtraining programmes and audit and feedback to educate prescribers, pharmacistsand nursing staff on the safe and effective use of antimicrobials.
Participate inmultidisciplinary team activities to provide advice on infection Managementi.e. ward rounds, antimicrobial stewardship rounds, and multidisciplinary teammeetings.
Act as a source ofpharmaceutical expertise with regards antimicrobials advising patients, carers,Pharmacy staff, medical staff, nurses and Physician associates across RBH.
Lead the pharmacyservice provided in support of the microbiology team and delivery of AMS agendaincluding microbiology ward rounds, C. difficile MDT and pharmacy support forthe OPAT service.

Person Specification
Experience
* Substantial Hospital Pharmacy experience of which a significant amount has been within an acute UK hospital environment.
Qualifications
* Professional Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Masters Degree in Pharmacy or UK recognised equivalent.
* Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy.
