As our new Networks and Cyber Manager youll be at the heart of this transformation helping to drive innovation leading a talented team and ensuring our infrastructure is resilient secure and future-ready.
What youll be doing
* Leading the design and delivery of secure network and infrastructure solutions across the council.
* Managing cybersecurity protocols, incident response plans and regular security audits.
* Overseeing a team of three Network and Cybersecurity Engineers - mentoring, supporting and developing their skills.
* Shaping and enforcing security policies from firewalls and endpoint protection to disaster recovery.
* Collaborating with IT support and business teams to simplify complex tech and deliver real-world impact.
* Staying ahead of emerging threats and technologies to keep our systems one step ahead.
What youll bring
* A strong background in network and infrastructure management with hands-on experience in VMware, switching, firewalls and virtualised environments.
* Cybersecurity credentials (e.g. CISSP) and a deep understanding of modern security practices.
* Proven leadership and project management skills with the ability to juggle priorities and inspire your team.
* A strategic mindset with the ability to translate technical complexity into clear actionable plans.
* A passion for service delivery, innovation and continuous improvement.
