About the role We're looking for a pastoral support assistant to work at an OFSTED rated "Good" school in Oldham. This successful candidate will need to be a flexible and supportive member of staff who can assist the pastoral team in the effective daily management of the pupils, as well as providing a supportive framework for individual and group intervention as necessary. Requirements To be considered for the role of Pastoral Support Assistant you will: Be able to work 1:1 with students who may demonstrate challenging behaviour and who will have Special Educational Needs Have a warm and caring personality Have previous experience working in a secondary school or supporting young people aged 11-16 Have a Teaching and Learning qualification – level 2 or higher Have an understanding of SEN and the strategies to support Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
