As a Principal Dams and Reservoirs Engineer you’ll play a vital role in every aspect of dams and reservoir engineering on transformational programmes for critical UK infrastructure, with opportunities to work on iconic projects at home and abroad.
We specialise in all aspects of dams and reservoir engineering across multiple challenging sectors such as Water, Aviation, Energy, and Cities & Development. We provide industry‑leading engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to construction.
We currently have opportunities in our Epsom, Bristol, Swansea, Manchester, and Glasgow offices.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, ensuring high‑quality outcomes.
* Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
* Successfully manage time and budgets to meet key project milestones and programmes.
* Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
* Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
About You
* Chartered Civil Engineer.
* Interest in developing into the role of Reservoir Supervising Engineer.
* Experience leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
* Knowledge of hydraulic and/or geotechnical engineering as applied to the management and design of dams, reservoirs, and associated hydraulic structures.
* In‑depth knowledge of current UK design standards, guidance and working practices, including the Reservoirs Act.
