Manual Machinist Salary: Up to £32,000 Location: Camberley Hours: Monday to Friday (normal day shift hours, 39 hours per week) Start Date: ASAP Type: Permanent, Full-Time This role is based in Camberley, Surrey and is commutable from Reading, Basingstoke, Guildford and surrounding areas. It is 10 minutes off the M3 and is accessible by public transport. As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for producing components in accordance with engineering specifications. Using manual and semi-automatic lathes and milling machines, you will ensure efficient, accurate, and safe machining to meet production requirements. Manual Machinists Duties: Precision Machining– Operate manual and semi-automatic lathes and milling machines (Prototrak/XYZ) to manufacture components to exact specifications. Engineering Drawings– Interpret technical and engineering drawings to produce high-quality parts. Measuring & Inspection– Utilize measuring instruments and gauges to ensure components meet strict tolerances and quality standards. Continuous Improvement– Contribute ideas to enhance production efficiency, quality, and workplace safety. Health & Safety Compliance– Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards to maintain a safe working environment. Quality Control– Conduct intermediate inspections to verify accuracy and make adjustments as needed. Professionalism– Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail. Ad-Hoc Duties– Undertake any other relevant tasks as required by the company.Requirements: Proven experience in a machining environment. Proficiency in operating manual and semi-automatic lathes and mills. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
