Milk Education is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join one of our friendly and supportive early years settings across Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young children with additional needs grow, learn, and thrive in a nurturing environment.
About the Role of an Early Years Teaching Assistant:
In this role, you will:
1. Provide 1:1 and small-group support for children with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, speech & language difficulties, developmental delays, and social/emotional needs.
2. Assist the class teacher and SENCO in delivering personalised learning plans.
3. Create an inclusive, engaging, and safe environment that supports children’s emotional, social, and academic development.
4. Use a calm, patient, and child-centred approach to help learners achieve their full potential.
5. Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent support.
We’re Looking For as an Early Years Teaching Assistant:
6. Experience working within an Early Years setting (nursery, reception, childcare, or similar).
7. Previous SEN experience is highly desirable (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language).
8. A caring personality, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
9. Individuals who are proactive, reliable, and able to work well as part of a team.
10. Relevant qualifications (CACHE Level 2/3, Early Years, SEN training) are beneficial but not essential for the right candidate.
