The Role We are currently seeking a Stores Operative to work within our Yarn Store. The role involves being an active member of the yarn store team by conducting general yarn store operative duties, along with placing yarn orders and arranging deliveries of yarn when requested by production management. You will ensure that changes to yarn through internal processes are reflected on the system as well as keeping stock levels accurate on the system when processing changes requested. Role and Responsibilities: Booking in yarn into the system, including converting and changing yarn details where applicable Placing yarn orders with external suppliers and ensuring we can accommodate lead times internally Organising yarn deliveries to outworkers, including preparing deliveries, creating dispatch notes and working with goods in and yarn store team to ensure deliveries/ collections run smoothly Creating internal orders and external purchase orders Preparing yarn for warping by working with the relevant departments Issuing yarn to jobs/ orders (internal/external) Liaising with external yarn storage companies to ensure yarn is supplied to meet internal requirements Support and play an active role in stocktakes Physically moving, weighing, and allocating stock when required Conducting general yarn store duties The working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have a variety of shifts available.
