An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated senior staff nurse to join our team at Belford Hospital, CAU. CAU includes Enhanced Care, Day Surgery Unit, and a Pre-Assessment Clinic; however, this post is primarily based in CAU/EC. The ideal candidate should be organized, forward-thinking, and dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of patient care in a busy multi-specialty environment. Involvement in quality improvement and staff education is also encouraged.
CAU currently manages all emergencies admitted through A&E & GPs, with an average length of stay of 2.5 days. We are developing our ambulatory emergency care service, and the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping this service's future. Our 2-bed Enhanced Care Unit is equipped for patients requiring up to level 2 care, and experience at this level is desirable.
The team at Belford Hospital is planning for a new hospital, and as a Band 6, you would be part of the senior ward team shaping future services. This is a fully rotational post, covering days and nights.
If you are a Band 5 seeking career development and new challenges, or currently working at Band 6 and interested in joining our team, please get in touch.
The Belford Hospital is located in Fort William, Lochaber, known as the Outdoor Capital of the UK. The area offers stunning natural beauty and opportunities for water sports, mountaineering, and snow sports. Fort William sits at the head of Loch Linnhe and at the foot of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles, with Glasgow, Inverness, and Stirling within a 2-hour drive.
