Thesuccessful candidate will:
* Bean excellent classroom practitioner with a strong track record of supportingpupils with SEND and raising achievement
* Holdthe National SEND qualification (or be willing to achieve it within therequired timeframe)
* Demonstratea secure understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive teachingapproaches
* Leadand develop effective SEND provision across the school
* Workcollaboratively with teachers/support staff to improve outcomes for pupils withadditional needs
* Provideguidance, support and training to colleagues to enhance inclusive practice
* Buildstrong relationships with pupils, parents, carers and external agencies
* Playa key role in safeguarding as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
* Contributepositively to the wider life and ethos of the school
* Demonstrate excellent communication,organisation and interpersonal skills
