In just over a year, we've gone from 0 to over 400 customers with compelling signs of product market fit; succeeding where many have tried and failed before. We're now hiring our first dedicated Product Manager (mid or senior) to help take us to the next level (and then the one after that..). If you want to make a massive impact on the UK's net zero ambitions and on the lives (and businesses) of heat pump installers, please read on! Quick background on Spruce Almost 20% of the UK's carbon emissions come from heating homes. Making net zero requires phasing out gas and oil boilers. Heat pumps are the main alternative, with the ability to turn 1 kW of electricity into 3-5 kW of heat. However, the installation process is slow and inefficient, discouraging installers and delaying urgent heating needs. We're building a platform for heat pump installers to manage the entire installation journey, significantly improving efficiency and impact. Despite starting in 2024, we're already making a difference across the UK, halving job times, doubling sales conversion rates, and increasing profitability. Having secured further investment, we're scaling our team to expand our impact. Our vision is to create an operating system for the home renewables supply chain, akin to ServiceTitan, Procore, and AutoCAD. The Role Our success stems from prioritizing customer needs and iterating rapidly. Your role is to professionalize our product management, enabling faster development and broader customer reach. You'll report to Steph, collaborate with Jo, and work with a talented team of designers and developers. Your responsibilities include: Leading discovery and user research to ensure we're building the right features in the right order, synthesizing insights from various sources into clear specifications. Managing the delivery of features from development to post-release testing, ensuring quick releases, maximum customer value, and high quality. Reducing time-to-value for users, facilitating quick understanding and adoption of the platform, and partnering with customer success teams. Monitoring impact, measuring value for different customer segments, and identifying opportunities to amplify our influence. Requirements You have at least 3 years of hands-on product management experience in a high-growth environment, with a track record of making significant, measurable impacts. You are: Highly structured and outcome-focused, capable of managing complex challenges and documenting processes while prioritizing results. Intellectually sharp with low ego, able to grasp new concepts quickly and communicate complex ideas simply. An exceptional communicator, adaptable, active listener, and capable of elevating team discussions. Customer-obsessed, genuinely caring about solving user problems and simplifying technical tasks. Passionate about heat pumps is a plus!
