Overview
Business Development Manager for Pharma and Bio-Pharma Process Equipment/ Components/ Solutions/ Systems (Valves, Pumps, Actuators, Components, Piping, Compressors).
Complex technical solution selling with a basic salary of £60,000 - £70,000 (negotiable based on experience) plus Bonus Scheme OTE £80K+, Car Allowance and Executive Benefits Package.
UK-based position with flexibility on location (UK and some European coverage): Oxford, Northampton, Bristol, Coventry, Luton, London, Reading, Swindon, Southampton, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham, Bristol, etc. Remote or field-based consideration.

The client is a well-established global leader in process equipment and components with a strong reputation for customer service, innovation and sustainability. This role focuses on targeting the Bio and Pharma sector across the UK.
You will take responsibility for managing and growing the Pharma and Bio-Pharma market segment across the UK. This is a sector specialist role combining existing Bio and Pharma client management with a strong emphasis on new business development, hunting for new project opportunities and opening up new customers.
There is full support and back-up to ensure success, including marketing, internal sales and product training in the USA and Europe. You will work with OEMs, EPCs and end users to refine solutions, instil confidence and close sales as needed.
Key responsibilities include following up on all leads, managing the full sales process from prospecting to tendering, technical support and follow-up meetings, and conducting regular customer site visits to understand requirements and close deals.
There will be ongoing collaboration with senior management to strategize for growth in this segment.
Responsibilities
* Manage and grow the Pharma and Bio-Pharma market segment across the UK.
* Develop new business opportunities and win projects through technically informed sales and relationship building.
* Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, initial contact, tendering, technical support, and closing.
* Conduct regular customer site visits and capture requirements to tailor solutions.
* Collaborate with marketing, internal sales, and product teams; leverage case studies and product knowledge to win business.
* Engage with OEMs, EPCs and end users to refine specifications and secure the sale.
* Provide accurate forecasting and pipeline management with long-term strategic planning.
Qualifications & Skills
* Proven track record in selling, penetrating and winning business in the Pharma and Bio-Pharma market in the UK.
* Experience selling process equipment and flow-related components/systems (valves, pumps, piping, actuators, compressors, pneumatics, etc.).
* Experience selling to OEMs, EPCs, engineering houses and pharma end users.
* Engineering background or qualification desired.
* Strong new business development and key account management skills; ability to build long-term relationships.
* Energetic, dynamic, self-starter with a can-do attitude; strategic thinker with commercial acumen and emotional intelligence.
* Excellent communication skills; able to engage with diverse stakeholders across levels.
* Ability to identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities and navigate corporate networks.
Remuneration & Benefits
Basic salary £60,000 - £70,000 (negotiable by experience). Bonus scheme with OTE £80K+, Car Allowance, Executive Benefits Package.
