SEND Team Manager
Location: Kent
Contract Type: Permanent | Salary: £49,522 and £57,712 (negotiable) Additional benefits: Pension scheme, 30 days holiday per annum, on-site parking.
In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of SEND Case Officers and work closely with schools, settings, and partner agencies to support and champion the SEND and Inclusion agenda across the borough.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the Council’s team of SEND Officers.
2. Collaborate with schools, support services, and families to improve SEND provision.
3. Work in partnership with school clusters and individual schools, supporting Headteachers, SENDCOs, and teaching staff.
4. Contribute to the strategic development of SEND services across Kent.
5. Deliver training and share best practices to build capacity in schools.

6. Has in-depth knowledge of SEND legislation, policy, and best practice.
7. Understands child development and the needs of children and young people with SEND.
8. Is committed to delivering high-quality services and achieving positive outcomes.
9. Has excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
