Role Overview: As an SEMH Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons designed to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH challenges. You will create a structured, safe, and nurturing classroom environment where pupils feel supported to learn and thrive. As an SEMH Teacher, you will: Deliver engaging lessons to pupils with SEMH needs across relevant key stages. Plan and adapt learning activities to meet the individual requirements of each pupil. Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social development. Work closely with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement individual learning plans. Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed. Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Requirements for SEMH Teacher: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. Experience teaching pupils with SEMH needs in a school setting. Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain patient, resilient, and flexible when supporting challenging behaviour.
