About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a secondary school students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in helping young people succeed both academically and emotionally.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work across a range of classes, supporting the general classroom environment, as well as providing focused 1:1 support to individual students who may need extra help to thrive. This may involve helping students manage and regulate their emotions, encouraging positive behaviour, and ensuring they feel safe and supported in the classroom.
You will work closely with class teachers and other staff members to prepare for lessons, implement support strategies, and contribute to the wider school community. Your role will be integral to helping students overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support teaching and learning in KS3 and KS4 classrooms.
* Provide targeted 1:1 support for students with additional needs.
* Help students develop strategies to manage their emotions and behaviour in a classroom setting.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff to prepare for and deliver engaging lessons.
* Build positive relationships with students to boost confidence and motivation.
* Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
* Support students during lessons, break times, and transitions as needed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
