Salary
£24,124 – £33,903 per annum
Key Responsibilities of a Technical Desk Spares Engineer
* Assist service engineers in identifying correct part numbers using machine manuals
* Support engineers with identifying spindles across a range of machines
* Raise PIDBs with factories to obtain parts delivery information
* Prepare and issue customer quotations
* Process customer orders following order confirmation
* Liaise with suppliers to confirm availability and delivery times of parts
* Provide day-to-day support as part of the Spares Team within the Service Department
Key Skills of a Technical Desk Spares Engineer
* Strong problem‑solving ability with a proactive approach
* Able to think logically and work effectively under pressure
* Team player with the ability to meet deadlines
* High attention to detail and consistently high standards of work
* Positive attitude with the ability to work independently when required
* Good computer literacy
* Knowledge of CNC machine tools or similar engineering products (desirable)
* Experience using multiple computer systems (desirable)
