About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our flourishing school, and we are seeking a dynamic and inspirational teacher of Science.
At the Buckingham School we put our wonderful students at the heart of everything that we do. The Buckingham Way expects staff and students to take responsibility, be reflective and respectful. Above all else, we are kind.
The school is embedding its reputation for being ambitious for all learners. We focus on high standards of behaviour and the importance of learning. Our reputation as a great place to work and be educated is growing rapidly. If you are seeking an opportunity to work in such an exciting, aspirational, and fun workplace, then this will prove to be an exciting opportunity for you.
In Science we aim to create a classroom culture where students feel safe to ask questions, confident to explore, and inspired to connect scientific ideas to the world around them. Through practical investigation and critical thinking, we challenge learners to develop their understanding of key concepts, while nurturing the emotional and social skills that allow them to thrive. Ultimately, we want all our students to succeed and achieve their full potential.
Similarly, in Computer Science, we aim to build a learning culture that is inclusive, engaging, and empowering for every student. Our curriculum fosters digital literacy, computational thinking, and creative problem-solving, enabling learners to explore technology with confidence and see themselves as creators—not just consumers—of the digital world.
Depending on your expertise and experiences, the successful candidate will deliver Key Stage 3, and receive development opportunities and training, as required in the subject for which they will be teaching out of specialism.
Applications are welcome from ECTs as well as experienced teachers. We have a proven track record of support and development and an excellent ECT package is available.
