Senior Engineer, Contract
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to support the delivery of a major highways infrastructure project in Banbury. This is an excellent opportunity to join a flagship scheme and play a key role in the successful delivery of earthworks, drainage, and highway works packages.
Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery team in the safe and efficient execution of highways works
Oversee site engineering activities including setting out and quality assurance
Manage subcontractors and coordinate daily site operations
Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, specification, and HSEQ requirements
Assist with short-term planning and progress reporting
Review RAMS, ITPs, and technical documentation
Work closely with Section Engineers and Site Agents to drive delivery across multiple work fronts
Maintain accurate site records and ensure compliance with project standards
Requirements
Previous experience working as a Senior Engineer on major highways or infrastructure projects
Strong background in earthworks, drainage, and highways construction
Competent managing subcontractors and supervising engineering teams on site
CSCS card essential
SMSTS preferred
Experience working within NEC contract environments advantageous
Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
