Cover Supervisor (KS2) required to start September 2025
Location: Leigh Beck Junior School, Canvey Island
Salary: Scale 5/6 - Point 11-17 (Actual salary £20,695 - £22,813 per annum)
Hours: Monday - Friday 32.5 hours per week (08:15 - 15:45 hours) - 39 working weeks, term time plus inset days
Leigh Beck Junior School is looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and committed Cover Supervisor who has experience of teaching KS2. The role will involve supervising whole classes to cover PPA and/or staff absences.
The ideal candidate will:
* Have an NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience
* Be experienced in working with children of relevant age in a learning environment
* Have excellent numeracy/literacy skills - educated to a minimum of GCSE C in Maths and English
* Be Able to use ICT effectively
* Have a working knowledge and experience of implementing national curriculum and other relevant learning programmes/strategies
* Able to develop positive relationships with children and adults
