We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support a range of projects across the organisation.
This role will play a critical part in ensuring that quality standards are consistently met, maintained, and improved throughout the project lifecycle.
The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for all quality-related matters, working closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and project management.
You will be responsible for identifying, managing, and resolving quality issues, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and external standards.
This is a dynamic position requiring the ability to manage competing priorities, influence stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the primary point of contact for all quality-related issues across multiple concurrent projects.
* Manage non-conformances from identification through to resolution, ensuring timely and effective closure.
* Lead and facilitate Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, ensuring robust analysis and sustainable solutions.
* Review and approve technical and quality documentation in line with company and regulatory requirements.
* Participate in design reviews, providing quality input to ensure risks are identified and mitigated early in the development process.
* Support bid and proposal activities by contributing quality-related content, ensuring alignment with customer and regulatory expectations.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
* Monitor quality performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations to drive improvements.
* Ensure compliance with applicable standards, procedures, and customer requirements throughout all project phases.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience
* Proven ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.
* Confidence in engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from shop floor to senior management, across a variety of technical and non-technical backgrounds.
* Strong decision-making capability, with a willingness to take ownership and accountability for resolving issues through to completion.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex information.
* High level of proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Experience with SAP Quality module is desirable but not essential.
* Demonstrable experience in conducting root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions is essential.
* Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g. ISO standards) would be advantageous.
