We are currently recruiting for an experienced Buyer for our client who specialise in precision machined components for high profile industries which include the Aerospace, Petrol Chemical & Power Generation.
Role Overview
The company Buyer will be responsible for the purchasing and management of stock, materials and
services to ensure that the companies operational needs are met, taking into account price,
quality and delivery whilst ensuring continuity of supply.
As the Buyer your responsibilities will include ;
1. Planning and managing all company procurements
2. Coordinating and monitoring all purchasing activity
3. Maintaining commercial relations with domestic and international suppliers
4. Cost reduction
5. Supply chain management - Arranging transport of goods and tracking Purchase Orders to ensure timely delivery
6. Expediting
7. Rationalising supplier data base and suppliers
8. Managing annual purchasing budget and meet and exceed purchasing budgets
9. Maintaining and managing supplier data base
