We’re seeking a Business Development Consultant to drive revenue growth across our Learning and Development solutions. You’ll take full ownership of the end-to-end sales cycle, from generating new opportunities and building pipeline to closing deals and expanding client relationships. You’ll lead targeted campaigns, outbound activity, and represent DSW at conferences, events, and webinars, shaping how our solutions are positioned in the market. Role Purpose & Context We’re looking for a commercially astute Business Development Consultant to drive new business growth and act as a trusted advisor to our clients. This is a hybrid role that combines sales expertise with learning and development consultancy. You will own new business opportunities, lead client relationships, and ensure our learning solutions are aligned to client objectives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being both commercially focused and strategically consultative, bridging the gap between client needs and our delivery teams. What you'll be doing You’ll take ownership of business development and client solutions across the organisation, including: Successfully set up and execute a sales strategy in line with agreed sales targets. Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, managing the full sales cycle. Growing accounts through insight-led conversations, cross-sell and up-sell opportunities. Building strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders in client organisations. Leading discovery conversations to understand client challenges and translate these into tailored learning solutions. Working closely with colleagues to shape solutions that are impactful and commercially viable. Be the voice of the client, ensuring solutions meet objectives and are delivered effectively. Contribute to thought leadership, marketing, and sector positioning to raise DSW’s profile. Using insight, data and feedback to continually improve our client approach and solutions. Produce regular sales reports and other management information. Keeping abreast of market trends, competitor activity, and L&D innovations. This is a role for someone who enjoys both shaping strategic direction and staying close to client and delivery details. What we're looking for Proven track record in business development, consultative sales, or client solutions within learning, training, HR, or professional services. Strong understanding of learning and development, talent management, or organisational development solutions. Experience managing complex sales cycles and working with senior decision-makers. Experience translating client needs into actionable, commercially viable solutions. A results-driven mindset, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and opportunities effectively. Professional qualifications in sales, consulting, or learning & development are a plus but not essential.
