Job Description
Rutherford Cross is delighted to be partnering with a successful timber manufacturing business based in Falkirk to recruit an Accounts Payable Administrator on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Group Accountant, you will be responsible for:
* Processing purchase invoices
* Processing supplier payments in accordance with payment terms
* Proactive management of trade creditors including monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
* Provide training and support to the business on the purchase order process
* Verify the accuracy of invoices, matching them with purchase orders
* Review processes on an ongoing basis, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, and propose/implement them as appropriate
* Resolve invoice/supplier queries
* Summarising relevant information on spreadsheets for additional analysis
* Regularly monitor the Accounts Payable mailbox and respond to queries in a prompt and professional manner
* Ensure all reporting deadlines are met, and all submissions are accurate
* Play an active role in the implementation of new Finance systems and processes
* Undertake any other duties which may be requested by management
* Testing and assisting in the implementation of the accounts payable functions of the new ERP system that is being introduced to the UK business
The Ideal Candidate:
* Attention to detail and ability to prioritise competing demands and overall workload
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel and Outlook
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Able to follow standard operating procedures whilst being able to exercise good judgement and decision making when presented with anomalies and non-standard requests
On Offer:
* Salary up to £27,000 p.a.
