🔧 Operational Project Manager – Aberdeen

Location: Aberdeen (Altens)

Contract: 6 months initial contract (view to permanent)

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Rates: £28.89 PAYE / £39.00 Umbrella

Hours: 37 hours per week (7.4 hour days – 8h Mon–Thurs, 5h Friday)


Belcan Workforce Solutions is currently looking for an Operational Project Manager to join our team on a contract basis, supporting a major energy engineering environment based in Aberdeen.


This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Operational Project Manager to lead and coordinate projects within a fast-paced workshop and engineering setting, with a strong likelihood of the role progressing into a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.


🚀 Key Responsibilities

* Lead end-to-end project delivery, from tender management through to completion
* Take ownership of commercial project performance and lifecycle reporting
* Manage scope, specification, schedule, cost, and quality across assigned projects
* Accurately track and report project progress using internal systems
* Coordinate and manage third-party vendors and service providers
* Liaise closely with engineering teams to define scopes and technical requirements
* Communicate project updates and progress to key stakeholders
* Work closely with workshop and planning teams to ensure efficient delivery
* Drive a strong “right-first-time” delivery culture


✅ What We’re Looking For

* Proven experience as an Operational Project Manager within engineering, manufacturing, or energy sectors
* Strong background in tender management and commercial project oversight
* Experience managing subcontractors and vendor interfaces
* Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
* Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
* Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and workshop teams
* Experience with rotating equipment or similar environments is highly desirable
