We have a well-established presence on high streets across the country, featuring a range of innovative shops, including boutiques, vintage and retro stores, and large format outlets. As a member of our retail team, you'll help us inspire communities to care more for others by innovating and collaborating on ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Additionally, you'll contribute to increasing income that funds our vital care and support services.
We value our people highly and strive to ensure you feel valued and included as part of our team. Most retail roles involve working every weekend, but our managers typically work only every other weekend. We do not expect our teams to work past 5:15 PM in most shops, and the earliest start is 8:45 AM. We also have every Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day off.
Our Sue Ryder store is located in West Street, Fareham, in a busy shopping area alongside major retailers. Do you have retail experience and excellent customer service skills? Would you like to use your retail knowledge for an important cause? If so, come support our Shop Manager in running our Fareham shop and contribute to the work we do across Sue Ryder!
As our new Shop Supervisor, you will have retail experience with the commercial awareness to drive sales. You will possess a positive attitude, good judgment, proven team leadership skills, and the ability to lead a large team of volunteers. It is essential that you enjoy engaging with people, have a positive can-do attitude, and a good understanding of financial and IT administration.
Other responsibilities include:
* Using your skills and retail experience to help drive business, increase sales, and achieve targets.
* Leading a team to deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers.
* Working with the local community to generate sufficient donated stock to boost sales.

We aim to ensure everyone approaching the end of life or living with grief can access the support they need.
We offer a competitive benefits package, including:
