National Key Account Manager

We are collaborating with one of the UK’s leading life‑safety technology brands—protecting millions of homes with innovative smoke, heat, and CO detection solutions. As they continue to expand across the trade and professional installer markets, they are seeking a National Key Account Manager to take ownership of their most strategic national accounts.

If you’re commercially driven, confident at working at a senior level, and experienced in the Electrical Wholesale/Merchant sector, this is a high-impact role with real influence.


Key Responsibilities

Own and grow a portfolio of national key accounts (Electrical wholesalers, merchants, and buying groups).

* Lead commercial negotiations, renewals, and complex contracts—including pricing, rebates, and service agreements.
* Develop joint business plans to drive revenue, margin, and long-term strategic growth.
* Act as the senior commercial contact for major customers.
* Drive range reviews, new product listings, and promotional activity.
* Monitor performance, compliance, and commercial risks.
* Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Specification, Technical, and Operations.
* Represent the company in senior customer meetings and strategic forums.


About You

* 5–10+ years’ National Account Management / Strategic Sales experience.
* A proven track record in managing National Electrical Wholesalers/buying groups.
* Strong commercial negotiation skills (pricing structures, rebates, contracts).
* Deep understanding of the electrical wholesale/trade/contractor landscape.
* Credible working with senior buyers, directors, and board-level stakeholders.
* Analytical, data-driven, commercially astute, and highly collaborative.
