We are currently recruiting for a Gas Engineer to join our team! The role of the Gas Engineer is to undertake gas servicing, repairs, and installations to domestic properties, ensuring that all work meets current Gas Safe regulations and is delivered to a high standard.
As one of our Gas Engineers, you will be responsible for:
* Carrying out gas servicing, repair works, and rectifying any gas faults in domestic gas central heating installations and remedial works.
* Liaising with clients and customers when arranging and carrying out works.
* Undertaking fault diagnosis and reports for domestic properties.
* Undertaking all works in accordance with relevant health and safety legislation and safe methods of work.
* Creating accurate risk assessments and method statements.
* Maintaining your company vehicle, ensuring it is kept tidy and cleaned as required in line with company policy.
* Availability to cover emergency out-of-hours rota when required.
Our ideal candidate will have:
* Demonstrable experience in manual delivery of domestic gas installations.
* A good understanding of the process for rectifying and upgrading domestic gas installations.
* The latest edition of the Gas Safe regulations, including amendments, and City and Guilds / NVQ (or equivalent) in domestic gas safe installations.
* Up-to-date ACS Gas Safe qualifications with a minimum of CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1 & HTR1.
* Good knowledge of health and safety and the ability to identify risks.
* The technical ability and knowledge to deliver works to meet Gas Safe standards to ensure compliance.
* Ideally, experience working in domestic properties within a social housing environment.
* Excellent communication skills across all levels, both written and verbal.
A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
