Overview
The school in south Birmingham is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant with 1:1 experience to support a child with SEMH in a secondary school setting. The child is keen to learn and enjoys craft; they are creative, can be shy at first, but form strong relationships with adults and are a pleasure to work with. The role focuses on social skills development and helping the pupil manage emotions. The setting has average EAL and SEND needs for the area and provides 1:1 support and a resource base for students with additional needs. Staff describe the school as extremely supportive.

Role Details
This is a full-time position where you will be a permanent member of staff. The school expects you to support the pupil 1:1, assist the class teacher with daily activities, and help the pupil access the curriculum.
