A growing engineering company based in Braintree are seeking a Commercial Assistant to support their Operations team. Working closely with the operations and estimating departments you will help manage the commercial aspects of projects from proposal stage through delivery. This role suits someone with strong attention to detail who is looking to develop a career within commercial management or similar positions. The client is willing to consider junior candidates who have some office based relevant experience and are keen to learn. Key Details: Flexible working hours Monday-Friday Starting salary between £28-32k 30 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays) Free parking onsite Career progression opportunities Chance to join a growing companyKey Responsibilities: Support project cost tracking, budgeting and forecasting Assist with valuations and applications for payment Help manage subcontractor documentation, applications and payments Maintain accurate commercial records, contracts and variation logs Provide support with estimating and tender submissions, including pricing and supplier enquiries Assist with commercial reporting and general administrative dutiesSkills & Experience: Strong numerical, organisational and analytical skills Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong communication skills and confidence working with subcontractors and clients Experience within a commercial, or engineering environment is advantageous Understanding of cost control or contract processes would be beneficialIf you have the relevant experience and are interested in finding out more about this great opportunity please apply
