Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £41,000.00 per annum dependent on experience
Contract: Permanent; Term Time only

About the Role
As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an SEN Teacher with English Subject Lead to join our close-knit team at Bestwood Village School, part of Options Autism. You will deliver inclusive, responsive and innovative teaching and learning within the curriculum area of English, teaching directly to our classes. You will strive to provide outstanding/good teaching and learning at all times to ensure that all learners succeed. You will oversee and support the English curriculum across the whole school and have tutor group responsibilities, teaching wellbeing, PSHE and Skills lessons with this group. Under the direction of the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, you will carry out the professional duties of a schoolteacher as set out in current School policies. You will teach in accordance with the ethos, organisation and policies of the school as a fully committed member of the teaching team as detailed in the specific duties and core standards below.
Key Responsibilities
* Be responsible for the learning and the achievement of all pupils in your classes, ensuring equality of opportunity for all.
* Plan and prepare long-term and medium-term plans.
* Knowledge of the relevant course content.
* Create a purposeful learning environment.
* Teach according to individual educational needs, including setting and marking of work to be carried out by pupils in school and elsewhere.
* Teach engaging and motivating lessons informed by well-grounded expectations of learners and designed to raise attainment.
Essential Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
* Relevant training in SEN

Bestwood Village School is a brand-new school in Bestwood Village, Nottingham and has capacity for 30 pupils. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the successful development of a brand-new setting and make a difference in the education of our pupils.
