As a Supply Cover Teacher, you will step into a variety of classroom settings to maintain learning continuity. With lessons often pre-planned, your focus will be on engaging students, maintaining classroom behaviour, and supporting the school from day-to-day.
Key Responsibilities of Supply Cover Teacher:
* Deliver pre-set lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students across various subjects.
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
* Quickly build rapport with students and staff.
* Ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
* Provide brief feedback on student engagement and progress.
Ideal Candidate:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experienced teachers who are looking for flexible work are strongly encouraged to apply.
* Secondary teaching experience is highly desirable.
* Adaptable, proactive, and confident across subjects.
* Holds anEnhanced DBSregistered on theUpdate Serviceor willing to apply for one.
* Provides a full CVcovering the last 10 yearswithexplanations for any gaps.
