Transport Office Manager – Aberdeen

Salary: up to £37,000 per annum DOE
Working pattern: 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday
There is an out of hours service, and this role requires being on call.
In this role, your main responsibility will be to work with the Transport Managers and Supervisors to ensure the fleet and drivers remain compliant with our Operator Licence undertakings. You will oversee a team of 3 Transport Maintenance Planners.
Your key responsibilities:
1. Manage the Transport Maintenance Planners and their workloads.
2. Ensure compliance with vehicle maintenance schedules, PMI, MOT, tacho re-calibration, LOLER, and road tax payments.
3. Collaborate with Depot Supervisors and Transport Managers to maintain fleet and driver compliance with O Licence requirements.
4. Ensure daily addressing of vehicle defects with proper documentation from reporting to rectification.
5. Review maintenance provider paperwork and address any reported issues.
6. Coordinate with insurance companies to process claims.
7. Verify that maintenance work is completed and properly documented.
Essential criteria for Transport Office Manager role:
* Proven experience in managing staff.
* Excellent communication skills with customers and colleagues.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel for reporting and data analysis.
* Strong organisational and planning skills.
* Management CPC qualification is desirable.
