The Role
As Audio Prep / De‑prep Supervisor, you will oversee the preparation, de‑preparation and testing of equipment before and after it is sent to events while supporting coordinating a team of prep technicians.
You will work a 5‑day week which could involve weekends.
This is an ideal role for a senior prep technician or an experienced audio technician / sound engineer, looking to take a step into a senior role within the touring industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Overseeing activity within the prep and de‑prep department
* Coordinating equipment between departments for upcoming events
* Overseeing rack builds and system preparation
* Supervising testing and fault finding of equipment
* Supporting FOH sound engineers with system preparation
* Supervising a team of 15+ warehouse technicians
* Carrying out quality checks on prepared equipment
* Planning daily prep schedules for upcoming projects
* Assigning technicians to projects and prep tasks
* Ensuring equipment is ready for dispatch and meets operational standards
Requirements
* Background in live events as either a warehouse prep technician or sound engineer.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and coordinate teams of staff.
* Strong technical knowledge of audio systems (A good understanding of equipment from brands such as Digico, Avid, SSL, Allen & Heath, L-acoustics, D&B would be highly beneficial).
* Good knowledge of the touring industry (preferred).
* Knowledge of Dante networking.
* Good organisation and planning skills.
* Willingness to work weekends where required.
* Right to work within the UK.
