Description
Are you an organised individual with a passion for coordinating and managing volunteer opportunities? As our Volunteer Coordinator, you will be responsible for the recruitment, selection, and induction of volunteers at our Rehoming Centre. You will play a key role in promoting best practices and standards across our charity-wide volunteering strategy.
What does this role do?
As Volunteer Coordinator, you’ll:
* Build strong relationships with staff across the centre, the Volunteering Development team, and the wider organisation to ensure an excellent volunteer experience.
* Coordinate volunteer support for fundraising activities, foster care services, and shared volunteers with local charity shops, liaising with relevant managers and teams.
Could this be you?
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of customer care, volunteer management, and motivation. You should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and demonstrate strong leadership abilities. The role requires the ability to engage with diverse groups and work independently with a positive attitude and a methodical approach. A passion for the goals of Dogs Trust is essential. A full, manual driving licence is required, as driving is part of the role.
