Position Summary:

Lead the assigned value stream at the Newport site, focusing on efficiency improvements in product and service delivery, human resources, and physical resources. Lead and mentor the team, encouraging continuous improvement using Practical Process Improvement and Lean (PPI-LE) resources and Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP). Adopt and live the Company’s 4-I values (Intensity, Integrity, Innovation & Involvement).

Key Responsibilities:

Efficient utilization of labor and communication with support functions is crucial. Enforce technical and quality specifications (ISO 9000 / ISO 13485) while monitoring, measuring, and reducing product loss and wastage. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies by conducting safety inspections and risk assessments. Supervise value streams and provide shift cover as needed. Conduct accident/incident investigations and implement corrective actions. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and compliance with Company rules. Handle Time and Attendance, including clocking exceptions, holiday allocation, and overtime authorization. Conduct performance, conduct, and absence meetings with employees to ensure effective management of value stream absence. Handle resources in conjunction with the Human Resource department, ensuring cost-effective shift operations within Budget/Plans. Implement capital projects related to the operating unit and align with Company terms and conditions of employment.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:


* Degree level education or equivalent.
* Experience developing teams in a fast-paced, sophisticated environment.
* ILM level 5 management certificate or equivalent.
* Multifaceted decision-maker, effective planner, and communicator.
* Knowledge of GMP standards.
* Validated experience in Continuous Improvement activities.

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

* Extensive management experience may relax formal degree qualifications.
* COSHH regulations and Health & Safety trained to IOSH certification standard.
* PC literate within a Microsoft Windows environment.
* Man Management and Conflict Management Skills.
* Resource & Capacity Planning.
