Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of the NHS in Gloucestershire for a Band 6 Community Eating Disorders Nurse.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Pay rate: £26 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract length: Temporary, 3 months initially, with potential extensionRole Overview The successful candidate will work within a community Eating Disorders service, providing specialist mental health care, assessments, and ongoing support to service users in line with NHS and Trust policies.
Role Responsibilities In this post, you’d be a key part of a specialist community Eating Disorders team, working with adults (and sometimes young people, depending on the service). Duties usually include:
Carrying out comprehensive mental health and risk assessments
Managing a caseload of service users with eating disorders (e.g. anorexia nervosa, bulimia, binge eating disorder)
Delivering evidence-based interventions and care planning
Monitoring physical health (weights, bloods, ECGs, risk indicators)
Supporting relapse prevention and recovery-focused goals
Working closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, dietitians, and support workers
Liaising with GPs, acute hospitals, families, and other community services
Maintaining clear, accurate clinical documentation in line with NHS and Trust standards
