Location: Carluke Job Type: Full time back shift Temporary Hygiene Operator Start Date: Immediate start available Shifts available: Monday to Thursday 1400-2300 Pay rate: £12.60 per hour and increases to £12.71 on 1st April This is a key role that ensures the site maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and food hygiene. Key Responsibilities Carry out scheduled and deep clean activities across production areas, corridors, equipment, and facilities. Ensure all cleaning is completed to strict food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP / BRC). Use industrial cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively. Complete cleaning records accurately and maintain compliance documentation. Follow all site health & safety procedures, including safe use of PPE. Work closely with production teams to minimise disruption and deliver safe, hygienic working conditions. Requirements Previous experience in a food production or industrial hygiene role is preferred but not essential. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards. Comfortable working in chilled environments and areas with machinery. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Good understanding of hygiene, safety, and basic food handling practices (training can be provided). Physically fit and able to carry out manual cleaning tasks.
