We are Farid Hillend Engineering, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers providing high-quality, custom-built Recycling Collection Vehicles. We are a well-established Company, operating for over 50 years.
We are looking for an experienced Buyer who is ready for the next step in their career.
What will you be responsible for-:
· Successfully negotiating purchasing contracts, price and delivery to ensure optimal performance, costs and payment terms.
· Assisting with regular re-negotiations of terms of business, service agreements and performance evaluation with suppliers, taking corrective action as required.
· Managing and continuously reviewing the purchase order system (MRP) to ensure its accurate, up to date, and consistently meets the requirements of the business.
· Managing suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, quality, quantity, cost of material and supplies.
· Assisting production in maintaining inventory at planned levels.
· Timely and effective communication of forecasts and purchase orders.
· Continually reviewing the total acquisition value offered by existing suppliers and ensure the company’s purchasing remains globally competitive.
· Interfacing between engineering, production planning operation teams, finance and service.
What knowledge and experience should you have-:
You will have 1 – 2 years of experience working in a similar fast paced procurement or buyer role, with a proven track record of achieving cost saving targets and lead time reductions, ideally within a manufacturing environment. You will be certified to or willing to study towards CIPS level 4
You should be confident and have consolidated knowledge in -:
· Supply chain management
· Stock Management and raw material planning
· Management and implementation of JIT systems
· MRP systems
