As we continue to grow our apparel division, we are looking for a driven and relationship-focused Account Manager to join our commercial team.
The Role
This is a customer-facing role where you will manage a defined portfolio of key accounts, nurture long-term partnerships, and identify opportunities for growth. You'll act as the primary point of contact for your customers, ensuring they receive exceptional service, tailored product solutions, and insights that strengthen their trust in Moon as a valued partner.
Key Responsibilities
* Account management for a defined portfolio of key customers, developing trusted, long-term relationships that drive repeat business and support Moon's growth aspirations. This portfolio may evolve with business needs and is open to discussion.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for select accounts, ensuring a seamless and personalised customer experience across all touchpoints.
* Building and maintaining customer relationships, educate customers about our products, benefits, and sustainability practices.
* Understand customer needs, business models, and strategic goals to proactively offer tailored product solutions and recommendations.
* Conduct customer presentations and service visits showcasing current and new collections of apparel fabrics and reinforcing Moon's value proposition.
* Champion customer success by collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely delivery, accurate specifications, and resolution of any order-related issues.
* Take an active role in sharing market intelligence and customer insights with the rest of the commercial team to inform product development and maximise sales opportunities both in the UK and internationally.
* Identify and pursue opportunities for organic growth with existing accounts, including upselling and cross selling.
* Work closely with the Head of Apparel Sales to develop and execute account specific sales plans, contributing to monthly; quarterly and annual revenue targets.
* Maintain accurate customer records, data integrity and CRM updates to support strategic decision-making forecasting.

Attributes and Experience
* · Strong interest and knowledge in woven textiles and the apparel industry.
* · Proven experience in B2B account management, ideally within a textile or fashion-related environment.
* · Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence in leading meetings and delivering compelling product showcases.
* Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively.
Goals
· Deliver measurable success against agreed targets within our apparel fabric division.
· Strengthen Moon's reputation as a trusted partner to key accounts through exceptional service and relationship management.
· Provide strategic input into product development based on customer feedback and market trends.
Role & Responsibilities
· Support the Head of Apparel Sales in driving commercial performance and achieving strategic goals.
· Lead both new business development and account growth, using relevant metrics to track performance and ensure alignment with customer expectations.
· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
· Analysing market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategy and positioning.
· Partner with our product teams to develop and execute successful go-to-market strategies.
· Managing customer sections with the Pattern room.
· Contribute to reporting and forecasting activities..
Skills & Competencies
· Intrinsic knowledge of the apparel industry and customer buying behaviours.
· Experience working collaboratively to ensure the customer receives the optimum experience regardless of touch point.
· Experience of CRM and ERP platforms and methodologies is advantageous.
· Comfortable working with data, analytics, and digital tools to enhance customer engagement.
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate, give and receive feedback, and make decisions with consideration for others.
· Ability to plan and manage workload efficiently, contributing to team and business goals.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £42,000.00 per year
