The Opportunity
As a Human Resources Generalist/Facility Communicator, you will provide a comprehensive range of HR support to leaders and employees across the Larne facility. This includes HR advice and coaching on policy, processes, strategic workforce planning, employee relations, performance management and career planning, driving engagement, diversity and inclusion, implementing HR transformation activities, professional communications, and promoting positive employee relations with key stakeholders, including trade union. The role also includes communication responsibilities for the Larne facility.
What You’ll Do
* Support and provide HR guidance to key customer groups within the Larne facility, including operations employees, salaried employees, middle‑management employees and leaders at all levels.
* Strategic workforce planning – encompassing early careers, hourly production, mid‑level hiring and vendor management.
* Talent & Development – Foster a culture of learning with a strong focus on talent and succession planning that will support development and retention to enable business success.
* Drive the students and graduate apprentice program.
* Employee relations – work closely with employees, leaders and trade union representatives on all employee‑relations matters to foster a positive working environment and drive engagement across the facility.
* HR projects – be involved in a variety of HR projects including wage negotiations, training and upskilling and continuous improvement of HR policies & procedures.
* Facility communications – work with facility leaders to share information out to the organization, partner with corporate communications on initiatives that may require local support. Communications may take 20–25 % of working time depending on the time of year.
What You’ll Have

* Effective communication – understanding of communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information and needs through appropriate communication behaviours. Ability to communicate and work with various levels of an organization.
* Interpersonal relationships – ability to build relationships, establish trust and work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
* Data gathering and reporting – knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.
* Employee relations – knowledge of rights and obligations in employee relations and ability to adhere to legal requirements when handling employee negotiations.
* HR policies, standards and procedures – knowledge of human resource function and ability to uphold organisation and industry standards, procedures and policies regarding human resources management.
Top candidates will also have
* Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources
* CIPD qualified
* Ability to work proactively on own initiative, demonstrating agility while dealing with a varied portfolio of customer groups and business needs.
* Energy and enthusiasm to support a drive to improve culture and engagement.
* Knowledge of organisation – knowledge of the organisation’s vision, structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, values and code of ethics; ability to understand the value of aligning capabilities with business goals to support optimal performance.
* Previous knowledge or experience with communications standards and principles

* Travel about 5 % within NI/UK
