The role involves managing all elements of financing transactions, from the term sheet stage through to closing and post-closing. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating term sheets, security documents, facilities agreements, and intercreditor agreements to ensure smooth transaction processes. The candidate should have strong client relationship skills and a desire to develop their own network, with support from senior team members. Managing projects and liaising with colleagues, clients, and other advisers are also key aspects of the role.
Typical responsibilities include:
1. Drafting finance documents and supervising transaction teams
2. Negotiating with counterparts and leading calls
3. Contributing to department know-how and developing precedent documents
4. Working with partners to supervise and develop junior talent
Candidates should demonstrate enthusiasm for business development, strong interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of working at a senior level, preferably with remote working capabilities.
Essential skills and experience include:
* 5+ years of experience in real estate finance, with expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating finance documentation in a private practice environment
* Experience working on cross-border transactions
* Ability to understand and respond to client needs and create a memorable client experience
* A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a commercial approach
