Founded in Berlin, autarc is a 35-person start-up that last year graduated from Y Combinator in San Francisco. Our team includes members in Sales, Tech, and Operations, with plans to expand into the UK market where we are hiring a new team.
Role description
You will be part of our 5th Engineering team, working on Solar, Heat, Core, and AI for local adaptation and product development of UK-specific features, such as grant applications.
Your work will involve building UI links and widgets, mapping data, and integrating systems for seamless operation. Examples include importing/exporting 3D scans and renders, handling billing/invoicing, and managing subscriptions.
As the Lead Engineer in London, you will spearhead engineering initiatives and oversee some complex tasks, guiding two junior/mid-level engineers.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Building web-hooks into our APIs
* Focusing on flawless frontend design and UI
* Collaborating with the design team to improve UX
* Designing, coding, and testing both new and existing features
* Developing B2B SaaS applications
* Ensuring high performance and reliability of code
The role is full-stack, with a 60/40 split between frontend and backend development.
Requirements
* 7+ years of experience working with startups
* 2+ years in a lead role
* Experience building SaaS products
* Proficiency with TypeScript, React, TailwindCSS
* Experience with local databases like RxDB
* Familiarity with cloud databases such as Postgres (Supabase)
* Experience with Docker, GitHub, and fly.io
* Based in London and willing to work 3 days in Soho office
* Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
