We are looking for a Payroll Officer to provide administrative support to the Payroll team to ensure our weekly and monthly payrolls are processed accurately and on time.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, key areas of responsibility include (please see the full job description and person specification for the comprehensive list):
* Collating new starter, amendment, and leaver forms.
* Attaching new employees to the monthly payrolls and attaching payments/deductions.
* Setting up new pro-rata musicians, actors, and children and attaching to payroll.
* Collating changes such as rent, services, subsistence, and touring allowance.
* Data input of basic hours, overtime, holiday, and absences.
* Ensuring leavers are paid/deducted holiday pay.
* Dealing with payroll-related queries.
To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following:
* Payroll processing experience and an understanding of PAYE, tax, and national insurance.
* Knowledge of current HMRC legislation.
* Excellent attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.
* Numerate – for example, comfortable analysing numerical data and with good level of Excel skills (e.g., confident with formulas, sorting data, summarising data).
* Proven ability and commitment to meet deadlines.
* Proactive with a flexible and adaptable approach.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
This role is offered as a full-time, permanent position, based in Stratford-upon-Avon.
The Finance department works on a hybrid model. Typically, team members work an average of 2–3 days remotely each week, but this varies according to specific work activity and is subject to line manager approval. The normal hours of work are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the understanding that additional hours may be required to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.
