We're seeking Chef de Partie to join the kitchens of our two award-winning, independent restaurants in the Padstow area: Prawn on the Lawn and Barnaby's. Both kitchens pride themselves on seasonality, provenance and flavour-driven small plate menus that showcase the best of Cornwall.
PAY + BENEFITS:
* Salary: from £28,250 per year
* Annual service charge: Avg. £8,000–£10,000, paid monthly

HOURS:
This is a 42.5hr per week, fixed term contract until October 2026, with the possibility of year-round roles for high performers upon successful completion of the contract.
Our usual business hours are Tuesday-Saturday. Plus Sundays during the main school holidays.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Chef de Partie you will be fundamental in the effective day to day operations of the kitchen. Our small professional teams work closely together with an 'all hands on deck' approach, therefore excellent team working skills are essential.
Successful candidates will be driven and passionate with a genuine enthusiasm for all things food and a keen interested in provenance and sustainability. We're looking for outgoing, positive people who genuinely love cooking and have flair and creativity in the kitchen.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum 2 years professional kitchen experience in a similar role
* A clear understanding of cooking and preparation techniques
* Exceptional standards of food hygiene procedures
* Comprehensive knowledge of food allergens
* NVQ L2 Food Hygiene qualification - minimum requirement although training can be provided.
* A cool head in a fast paced environment
* Bonus points for: fish filleting, seafood preparation and/or butchery skills
